Identity theft is a term use to describe a scam in which peoples identity is stolen, by someone using that person’s personal information. Every one should be concerned about their identity being stolen , and used for someone else’s personal gain.

Says Sherwin Daniel, Every one who uses the internet for business particularly should be careful when making purchases or giving out personal information. When dealing with websites you should make sure that you are dealing with a legitimate website.

He advises that all letters or paper with sensitive information such credit card information, social security numbers and the likes should be shredded . He went on to say that identity thieves sometimes go as far as entering trash cans to search for peoples information.
