Home Staging And Redesign-Turning Passion Into A Business
December 15, 2007
Dec 17, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --A “new” business has been started in Richmond, Virginia-well “sort of new”-read on. Having grown up in the Richmond area in a home surrounded by beautiful antiques-her mother is a well-known Richmond Antique dealer-Pam Bosetti’s love and passion for beautiful homes and furnishings started at a very young age. This passion has spilled over into her adult life in a way that many don’t understand. Pam and her husband have purchased, lovingly restored and sold FIVE homes in the Richmond area over the last ten years. Friends and family have obvious concerns and questions such as “Why are you moving again, your home is beautiful”? After all, moving is rated as one of the most stressful events in a person’s life so why move if you don’t have to? Well, having never stayed in one place for more than two years, clutter does not develop as it typically does when a homeowner stays in the same place for a number of years. The paint on the walls is fresh and new, flooring is clean and fresh, lighting fixtures are the latest and greatest, countertops/cabinets replaced or enhanced and the closets are organized and neat. All that is needed at any given moment is a “For Sale” sign. As soon as a prospective buyer views the home, they are instantly “wowed” and can immediately connect emotionally and picture themselves living there. All of Pam’s homes have sold within the first 30 days and two sold without so much as a ‘For Sale” sign in the yard. With this being said, it has made it extremely easy and rewarding to pour her passion and energy into turning “houses” into “homes” and then seek out a “new project”. Well, thankfully for all involved, situations change. With a five year old child and loving husband, who by the way has been extremely patient and supportive through all the moves, Pam recognizes the stability and love that a “home” provides to the newest member of the family. She has decided to direct her talent and energy toward her new business “Richmond Home Staging and Redesign”. In addition to her personal experiences with restoring and selling homes, she is in the process of obtaining a double Certification as a Home Staging and Redesign Specialist under the pioneer and most comprehensive West Coast trainer in the industry, Barbara Jennings. Home staging has been popular on the West Coast for some time now. It is fast becoming a critical element in selling your home, as real estate markets become increasingly competitive “everywhere”. When your home goes onto the market it becomes a commodity-a house for sale that needs to be seen through buyer’s eyes. If you can’t see it through buyer’s eyes, you can’t “package” it effectively. For a product to sell, it has to be successfully “marketed and packaged”. The “packaging” element is where Richmond Home Staging and Redesign comes in. A seller can utilize Pam’s services to create an environment that buyers find appealing. She will devise an action plan to create a buyers’ dream home and set your house apart from the competition. She knows how to create the “WOW” factor that will bring in offers within the shortest amount of time. Studies show that the longer your home stays on the market the lower your selling price will be. Staging is an investment that will ALWAYS be less than your first price reduction. The art of “Redesign” is different from “Staging” as the homeowner continues to live in the space. Instead of de-cluttering the space and depersonalizing it to sell the home, a re-designer works with the furniture and accessories the owner already has, and gives the home a professional
