Grandmother Launches Sex Survey Site For Book

Los Angeles, California -- Apr 11, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ -- A new kind of “Chicken Soup for the Sexy Soul” site is launching this week. www.easysex101.com wants to hear - and publish - people’s stories about how age, sexual preference, country or state of origin, religion, ethnic background and much more, affect their sexual and relationship choices. The company calls the site, “Better than therapy.”

In a survey that is the basis for a forthcoming book of short stories, EasySex101 poses the question: “If you had to chose between a magnificent erection, an outstanding relationship or an amazing orgasm, which would you chose and why?” It goes on to ask dozens of questions about how and why your personal demographics inform that choice. For example, age in women creates a great difference in choice about relationship – it causes less of a difference in men. Generally speaking, younger women (who have not experienced long term relationships) often want them, while older women (who have experienced them) often chose erections… a problem for their aging partners, many of who want to be in relationships.

“Every time I talk about this site,” says Joan Meijer, the 67-year old grandmother who originated Easysex101, “people start to laugh and tell me their stories. I think it’s time we lighten up about this subject, and I am hoping to help with the lightening."

Simply opening a bank account indicates the degree of how up-tight many people are when it comes to a company named EasySex101. Meijer was unable to find a Merchant Account that would take on her business. “The teller who opened the business account at my bank was so upset by the idea of opening an account with that name, that she first refused to open the account and then forgot to give me the signature cards or to order checks. It was really funny to watch the degree of upset that the word “sex” causes when applied to a business entity.

“Given the excitement that this idea is generating just within my own circle of friends,” says Meijer, “we might have three or four books before we’re through. We love the idea of people having a venue to anonymously talk about themselves and then to see their stories in print.”

The staff at Easysex101.com is looking forward to reading the stories. They plan to publish a number of them every week on their e-zine, and come out with the book by next September.

“When most people I meet find out I’m a writer,” say Meijer, “they tell me that they have at least one book they’d like to write. At Easy Sex101, everyone gets a chance to participate in the book, everyone gets a shot at having their story published.”
