Ghana begins massive cross-cultural diversity training program
December 11, 2007
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich, USA (December 11, 2007). The Ghana National Exchange Programme School has been developed by the Ghana Country Award Council to promote cross-cultural diversity.

Beginning in the first semester of 2008, the program brings 32 students from each of the 48 Second Cycle Schools selected from six regions throughout the Western African nation. This means a total of 1,600 students will be enrolled in the program, making it one of the largest diversity programs operated at the Junior and Senior High School level.

According to Under Country Director Cecil Nii Obodai Wentum, “the program has been designed to serve as a center for promoting cross cultural diversity, intellectual advancement, sharing of skills, harnessing of ideas, and gaining of new experiences.”

MBC Global applauds the people of Ghana for recognizing the advantages to the entire country of bringing the students together to learn about the cultures of the various regions of Ghana.

Wentum adds, “In the light of using award excellence as a new paradigm for championing accelerated national development in the new Ghana, Participants would be awarded the Ghana National Exchange Programme School Awards upon completion.”
