In the Utopia Planita area of Mars from NASA images at the JPL Image Library in Pasadena. If Mr. Bush is seeking a legacy for his administration and is not getting good press from the Iraq debacle, he can at least be remembered for his own several mile large Face On Mars. He joins Sen.
Ted Kennedy in this regard, as noted in a 1991 Esquire Mag. “Dubious Achievement Award “ (Jan. 92 issue)given to Beckjord who noticed the Kennedy image Also from NASA photos. While many may not see the images at http://www.beckjord.com/bushonmars or http://www.Beckjord.com/mars our experience is that approximately 40 % of viewers report that they can make out the faces, despite the rocky Martian terrain. This especially true for young people. The images are similar to the people involved.
When Kennedy was notified of his own Face On Mars he responded to the Washington Post by saying “ Well, I guess I’d better quit eating those Mars Bars.”
How Bush will respond is unknown, but hopefully, it will be with similar humour.
