Scott Michael Gallagher was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, he drove a 1972 Super Beetle across the county and ended up settling in Hermosa Beach, California. He was a history major at the University of California, Los Angeles. Scott is a published poet and the author of the book, Search Your Self: 365 Meditations for the Mind, Body and Soul, which was published by William Morrow. He has also written extensively for the Internet. As a hobby, Scott teaches sheep herding and competes in herding competitions. Scott and his dog Apollo were featured on CNN. He still resides in Hermosa Beach. Scott lives with his nine-year-old son Dylan and their new dog, a red Border Collie named Flash.
