HORROR CONVENTION AND FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCED
Partnership forged between Full Moon Features, Green Grass Entertainment, and, Market Street Cinema

LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Apr 24, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ -- Full Moon Features, Green Grass Entertainment, and Market Street Cinema today announced the creation of the “Full Moon Horror Convention & Film Festival” to be held annually in Little Rock, Arkansas. This year’s event will take place on October 26th through 28th.

The Horror Convention will take place at the Statehouse Convention Center in downtown Little Rock, with all Film Festival events taking place at Market Street Cinema, just minutes away on the West side of Little Rock. Green Grass Entertainment will be hosting the convention in partnership with Full Moon Features. “We are pleased to partner with Charles Band, an industry icon, and couldn’t be more pleased with the timing of the event being the weekend before Halloween” said Green Grass Entertainment’s president, Erin Hurley.

The Full Moon Horror Convention will feature celebrities ranging from current and former horror-genre actors and actresses to the directors and producers of such films. Live entertainment will include music acts, lingerie show, costume contests, and more. Autograph seekers will be especially pleased with the availability of large numbers of top genre celebrities. Booth spaces featuring highly collectible memorabilia and horror-related items will be available from dozens of local and national dealers and distributors. A rare treat – Full Moon Features’ Charles Band will be bringing the only existing 35mm un-cut version of 1985’s classic horror film “Re-Animator” for a late-night screening at Market Street Cinema. “It is extremely exciting to be involved in this very first Full Moon Horror Convention. There’ll be many surprises and announcements to come over the next few months but the screening of the original, uncut print of RE-ANIMATOR will definitely be a highlight. Director Stuart Gordon is scheduled to attend and we anticipate that the films stars -Jeffrey Combs and Barbara Crampton – will be there as well.”

The Film Festival will be open to all filmmakers and should attract nationwide attention with B-movie legend Band’s involvement. Filmmakers are invited to submit both screenplays and complete films for competition, in both short and feature length categories. Grand Prizes in all categories will include a cash prize, plus the winning screenplay will be made into a Full Moon Features movie. Market Street Cinema owner Matt Smith will offer several special screenings and deals throughout the weekend at the theater – with all finalists’ films to be screened over the three-day period.
