Cole Services, through its Oldest Furnace Contest, will give one homeowner in the greater Los Angeles/Orange County area a complete heating system makeover valued at up to $5,000. Los Angeles, CA, November 13, 2005 – Cole Services, through its Oldest Furnace Contest, will give one homeowner in the greater Los Angeles/Orange County area a complete heating system makeover valued at up to $5,000.

The contest started November 1 and entries will be accepted until 5pm PST, December 10, 2005. The winner will be selected December 10 after all official entries are reviewed. As an added bonus, all entries received before November 19 will receive a free Thanksgiving turkey courtesy of Cole Services.

Makeover stories are hot and a cold winter is predicted. This contest uses a free makeover to demonstrate how people can save money on heating this winter by updating their home furnaces to a more efficient system.

Heating fuel prices are rising and Cole Services wants homeowners to know there are more efficient options for heating and home comfort systems. Even ten-year-old furnaces can produce utility bills up to 70% higher than the latest, more efficient, models being offered today.

“We’re excited to give away a few turkeys, check out the old systems people have to show us, and provide a new furnace for some lucky homeowner this December,” says Mike Cottle, general manager of Cole Services. “We also hope the contest will help raise homeowner awareness regarding the efficiency and cost savings that come with a new home comfort system.”

The winner of the contest will have their old furnace removed free of charge and replaced with a new, energy efficient furnace valued at up to $5,000. The official rules and an entry form can be found online at http://www.cole-contests.com.

All journalists are invited along with cameras to join the crew when the winner’s old furnace is torn out and replaced, making some lucky homeowner’s holiday dream come true.
