A few free online dating and personals site has launched in Australia.

3loves is free including free profiles, photos, winks, messages, chat and adult access. There are no charges for loading profiles, making contact or searching.

“3loves is free today and free forever” said Mark Fletcher, CEO of 3loves. “We saw how much people were paying for online dating access and felt we had to provide a genuinely free alternative”.

In a few months, while the site has been tested, 6,000 Australians have loaded free profiles. The fledgling site is already attracting 15,000 pageviews a day.

Competing with RSVP, match, lavalife, redhotpie and adult sites, 3loves only makes money from banner ads and even that model is low cost.

“Our goal is to breakeven” said Fletcher. “We’re not in this for the money, we really want to help people – personal users and businesses – save money. It’s our way of putting something back”.

3loves comes out of beta (test) release early in May. Since the site is free, nothing will be spent of advertising. For this to work, people need to get behind 3loves and tell their friends.
