Fashion 4 a Cure Fashion Show at Rhythm & Soul Music Festival

A fashion show will serve as a booster for Breast Cancer awareness at the Rhythm & Soul Music Festival Sunday May 27th, 2007.
The event will be held at the Sugar Factory, Brooklyn, NY. The show will be held between 8pm and 10 p.m.

The auditions for models and designers will be held at The Sugar Factory, 269 Kent Avenue near South 2nd Street, Brooklyn, New York 11211.
Audition Date: Saturday April 14th 12noon-3pm, If selected, be prepared to rehearse. Bring copies of photos, headshots and materials relevant to casting.
$10 audition fee. A portion of the proceeds benefits the event.

Leslye Model Inc. (Dallas, TX), IMANI Magazine/Fashion Models Institute (New Haven, CT), and New York Models will set the stage for this family-oriented event. Models are needed to participate.


*A little history about Leslye Model Inc.
Leslye Model Management Inc. is based in Dallas, Texas. Tragically in 2004, Leslye, the owner, lost her sister to Breast Cancer at the age of 27 -- whom left behind 2 beautiful kids, and the loss has rendered a willingness to give back and educate the world about the breast cancer. Thus, the event, "Fashion 4 A Cure" was created, with part of the proceeds going to benefit The National Breast Cancer Foundation.


*IMANI Magazine/Fashion Models Institute
Offers Fashion Modeling programs, newspaper publishing (IMANI Fashion News). They offer classes in career, self-esteem, and etiquette as well as fashion related skills for the entertainment industry to help encourage academic scholarship.

*Rhythm & Soul Music Festival Mission
To provide a platform for up and coming
rhythm and blues and soul recording artists to
perform and gain useful exposure; to reinforce the importance and credibility
of RNB and soul through a seasonal guide
that includes music compilations and to raise awareness and funding for music
programs to inner-city children; to raise money and awareness for
organizations that help homeless and
low-income families: Picture The Homeless
(New York City), Houston Katrina Relief Fund
(Houston, Texas), and Cure For Cancer
(Dallas, Texas).
