June 16, 2009 -- Texas Family Magazine, the state’s leading parenting and family values publication, is pleased to announce the extension of its fundraising program to churches and other non-profit organizations. This program now allows all family-based, non-profit organizations to raise funds, while promoting quality family and parenting editorial. Non-profits enjoy a 50/50 revenue split on subscription sales.

Texas Family also plans to roll-out a new website which will allow for additional interactivity with readers, and which will offer additional resources and expanded editorial. Additions include mom blogs, fashion, event calendars, polls, the “Kid of the Month,” and other great interactive resources. The new website will also help to facilitate subscription sales for the fundraising program, allowing for online subscriptions with the proceeds directed to the correct charity.

Texas Family is also pleased to announce that Misha Davida, a current Board Member and Founding Partner, will be moving back to Texas to help head its marketing sales efforts in Northern Texas. Mr. Davida has significant experience in the media and publishing industry, most notably, at McGraw Hill where he was Associate Editor.

Texas Family is also sad to note the loss of William Werkmeister, a lead investor in TFM and active supporter, who will be leaving us to pursue graduate studies at Harvard and Yale Universities. Bill Werkmeister’s strategic guidance was instrumental in the growth of TFM, and he will continue to provide consulting advice to TFM on a non-active basis.
