EZIPASS ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS PLATFORM EXPANDS

Jul 08, 2008 -- /prbuzz/ -- Tower Systems today announced the release of a stand alone version of its PC based electronic payments platform. The announcement follows successful completion of a two month beta release of eziPass stand alone to sixty newsagents in Australia.

eziPass is a PC based alternative to the traditional pin pad terminal used in retail outlets for dispensing voucher product such as mobile phone recharge, phonecards, event tickets, Visa Prepaid, magazine subscriptions and tolling top up.

The Bill Express Dialtime platform has been the most widely used electronic voucher platform in newsagencies for years. The recent financial challenges of Bill Express (ASX code BXP) have encouraged newsagents to seek alternatives.

“eziPass is now available in two forms, free, for all newsagents and other retailers” commented Mark Fletcher, Managing Director of Tower Systems, “integrated with our Tower Systems POS software and stand alone for all other retailers.”

“With over 700 newsagents switching to eziPass (integrated and stand alone) over the last six months, we have the makings of a good retail network through which suppliers can dispense voucher based products.”

eziPass, stand alone and integrated, is available to Australian newsagents without cost. The only technical requirements are a Windows based computer, a thermal receipt printer and internet access.
