The revitalized product highlights vital trends hitting the event industry now. Divided into three forecasting sections — the Biz, Planners and Suppliers & Services — this resource lets event industry professionals gauge where events are today, and where they’re going, providing a detailed snapshot of this increasingly important, $158 billion-plus industry
Highlights of the forecast include:
·Craigslist.com is the top website for planning professionals
·The highest-paying position in the events industry is Director of Catering, followed by Owners or General Managers
·The top five trends affecting planners and suppliers
The more than 80-page research document was produced by Event Solutions’ editorial team, based on data compiled from 1,350+ survey completed by respondents from all parts of the events industry. Respondents were asked for data-driven revenue and profit margin figures, as well as opinions and predictions for the industry as well as their own sector, such as catering, event sites, marketing, advertising and PR.
Another new element of the forecast is the inclusion of predictions directly from leading event professionals from across the country — “forecasters” — regarding trends and issues in specific industry segments. Forecasters include Debbie Meyers, CSEP, president of BRAVO! Entertainment; Courtney Dyer, general manager of the Virginia Beach Convention Center; Michael Lyons, DMCP, president and CEO of GEP Philly; and Heather Henderson, CMP, CSEP, operations manager for Cisco.
