TEMPE, Ariz. Apr 09, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ -- Event Solutions, a trade magazine serving the event and meeting planning industry, announced today it will move its 2008 Idea Factory trade show and conference to Las Vegas to be held in conjunction with catersource 2008, the leading industry event for education, networking and resources for catering professionals. The combined event, called the catersource Conference & Tradeshow and Event Solutions Idea Factory 2008, will take place Feb. 24 – 28, 2008 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Idea Factory has typically been held annually in August in different U.S. cities.
“By taking this strategic step, we will create a national resource for catering and event professionals to interact with business partners in an efficient environment with more possibilities for sales and networking,” said John Baragona, owner and president of Event Solutions magazine’s publishing company, Event Publishing, LLC.
“This partnership is a natural progression of the relationship we’ve built with catersource over the last three years. It’s a great way for our attendees and exhibitors to take part in the opportunities provided by the success and growth of the catersource show.”
Event Solutions and catersource estimate the larger show will host between 800 -1,000 exhibitors and attract more than 4,000 attendees from nearly every sector of the event industry: from corporate, independent, association, non-profit, government and university planners, producers, event site managers, event services and rental companies to on- and off-premise catering operations, banquet centers, convention centers, sports arenas, country clubs, colleges, hospitals, foodservice providers, hotels, casinos and military facilities.
“Since events and catering go hand in hand, this partnership will expand the resources we are able to offer the catering professional,” said Michael Roman, president of catersource. “We’re excited about the increased learning opportunities that the Idea Factory will bring to the catersource Conference & Tradeshow.”
Event Solutions will host the 2007 Idea Factory trade show and conference as planned in Miami Beach, Fla., at the Miami Beach Convention Center from Mon. Aug. 20 - Thurs. Aug. 23, 2007 with catersource again providing educational tracks as they have the last two years. The combined shows will then focus on taking root in Las Vegas with the sole winter time slot from 2008 and beyond. The two companies will maintain individual identities as they move forward.
