Apr 26, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ -- Pacific Park Financial, Inc, a Registered Investment Adviser in Aliso Viejo, CA, announced the release of new features on its ETF investing site, www.ETFexpert.com. Readers will still have access to daily commentary on what makes the ETF world go around. However, podcasts on ETF topics also began streaming on April 24, 2007. Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) have exploded onto the investing landscape in recent years. However, the popularity of the index-based funds that trade like individual stocks has seen a fair amount of controversy along the way. President and Chief Investment Officer, Gary Gordon, offered a straightforward explanation for some of the anti-ETF sentiment. “The mutual fund families are worried about their bread and butter,” Gordon explained. “Nevertheless, ETFs represent the future of indexing. Advisers and/or fund families who fear progress are likely to lose their relevance and credibility.” At the www.ETFexpert.com web site, Gordon points to the recent flap caused by none other than indexing guru, John Bogle. “He condemns the popularity of exchange-traded funds, yet Vanguard still offers 33 ETFs for investor consumption. The company clearly recognized the need to maintain its relevance and presence as an indexing leader.” John Bogle founded Vanguard, but left when the company charted a unique path. Each day, Gordon provides ideas on “everything ETF.” This may involve broad market index-trackers like the Spider (SPY) and Diamond (DIA). It often involves brand new investment opportunities, such as Wisdom Tree’s earnings-based mid-cap index fund (EZM) or Vanguard’s All World Index fund ex U.S. (VEU). “I don’t have an agenda when I write,” Gordon stated. “I simply look to make the ETF investing world easier through explanation and entertainment.” Vice President of Pacific Park Financial, Branden Frazier elaborates. “One of the great things about serving up the preeminent ETF blog has been the investment community’s interest,” Frazier said. “Whether we dissect the limited diversification of single-country ETFs like Mexico or expose the defensive characteristics of materials and utilities sectors, we’re giving investors the healthiest food for thought.” Pacific Park Financial, Inc. is a Registered Investment Adviser located in Aliso Viejo, California, serving clients throughout the country. The company’s principals are Certified Financial Planners (CFP) with expertise in investment and retirement planning.
