URJA mobilizes units across Delhi to file objections with DERC office
New Delhi, India: Following the discussions between United RWAs Joint Action (URJA) zonal representatives last week, it has been decided to prepare for blanket opposition to the Multi Year Tariff (MYT) proposal mooted by the Delhi Electric Regulatory commission(DERC)
Consequently, URJA has asked RWAs across the city to file their objections to the proposal with the DERC by the 20th December, the new last date for submission of objections after a five-day extension granted by the DERC.
"There is simply no question of any agreement by any consumer in Delhi to this ridiculous proposal by the DERC," said Ashok Prabhakar of Malviya Nagar RWA federation.
RWAs have made repeated requests to the Government and the DERC for an independent audit of the performance of the DISCOMS and their financials of their last five-year term.
