Eatery at The Avenue Viera plans traditional Lion Dances to ring in the Year of the Pig
Viera, Florida., January 12, 2007 - Asian Too, a popular pan-Asian fast casual restaurant based here announced today special weekend activities February 16 th – 18 th to celebrate Chinese New Year 2007 – The Year of the Pig.
The highlight of the celebration will be a traditional Lion Dance performed by students from the Wah Lum school of Orlando . The dance consists of performers making up the head, body and tail of the lion dancing to the beats of drums and other percussion instruments. Performances will be Saturday February 17 th at 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
"The Lion Dance is an important part of Chinese culture, particular during the celebration of Chinese New Year," said Louis Tran , President and owner of Asian Too. "The tradition is that it brings good luck and happiness for the New Year."
In addition to the Lion Dance, Asian Too will be offering food and drink specials throughout the weekend.
