Dover Downs Hotel & Casino announces new dining and nightlife hot spot

Oct 16, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --DOVER, Del. — October 11, 2007 - Dover Downs Hotel & Casino announced today that Public House Investments, LLC (PHI), the Philadelphia-based company with renowned operations in New York, N.Y., Denver, Colo. and Philadelphia, Pa., has signed a lease to operate a Public House restaurant as part of The Colonnade, the casino’s current expansion project. Public House is projected to open in fall 2008 and is the first of three planned new restaurants for The Colonnade.

Public House was selected after an extensive search that took the executives of Dover Downs Hotel & Casino from the east coast’s metropolitan areas all the way to Las Vegas. “We chose Public House for its solid reputation in the industry and because there simply is nothing like it in our area,” said Ed Sutor, president and CEO of Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. “We experienced firsthand the great food, unique atmosphere and attentive service at Public House and decided quickly that it was an experience we want to offer our customers.”

Contemporary in its design, Public House’s modern, all-American décor combines the casual, social atmosphere of a pub within a stylish, more upscale setting, appropriate for business, pleasure and private parties. The restaurant’s innovative design was conceptualized by DAS Architects, a nationally recognized architectural and interior design firm specializing in the hospitality industry, who also created notable dining settings for Le Bec-Fin, Novelty, and Pod in Philadelphia.

Public House offers an all-American menu with uncommon flair, from appetizers to desserts and everything in between, specialty cocktails, and about 30 varieties of bottled and draft beer. The restaurant also staffs event planners to assist in booking private parties and creating exclusive catering packages for all occasions.
