Hanover, PA /prbuzz/ 3-15-07 -- Disputing the Claims of the Jesus Family Tomb Churches and ministries: A new resource is available to help your members understand these recent claims and to address them from a biblical perspective.

Film producer James Cameron and the Discovery Channel have created widespread attention with their claim of finding the family tomb of Jesus. Churches and ministries have a great need to educate by providing a biblical response to these claims. Christian Counseling & Educational Services has created a flyer written by that can be used as a handout to present a response from the Christian perspective.

Rod Hemphill, a writer for CCES, lays out a biblically-sound response to these claims. Youth groups, Bible studies, Sunday School classes, and small groups all have a need to address the claims and to provide a response.

Hemphill writes, “Remember, as you read claims by those who are opposed to your faith, you are not reading to gain knowledge of truth. You are reading to understand their point of view. Since they are pushing a contrary agenda, what evidence do they have to support their case? How credible is their evidence?”

CCES allows the article to be printed and distributed or to be posted on church and ministry websites. To get a copy of the handout, visit www.ccesonline.com/tomb.htm.
