Dec 10, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --Following the publication of the short story collection Bad Houses, Christopher Nosnibor has been digging tunnels around the underground of the Internet, with new short stories and other pieces of writing surfacing in a number of places. Overground, he has also been particularly active on the blogging front via MySpace. And now christophernosnibor.co.uk has gone live.
The site will not only contain news updates and links to Christopher’s published work, available both in print and by electronic means, but also exclusive new material unavailable elsewhere. The first piece to be made available through the website is a short story entitled ‘His ‘n’ Hers.’
Christopher explains: “I’ve long been interested in simultaneity, how to convey things that happen at the same time in text. Burroughs' use of the cut-up technique fascinates me, and he stated that the cut-up addressed this issue. But his points about how ‘life is a cut-up’ and about how someone reading, say, a newspaper, while reading down the columns is subconscuiously aware of the words on either side, that is to say, is aware of the ‘narrative’ that runs cross-column. I thought that this offered a valuable alternative means of presenting simultaneous dialogue.”
With more work in the pipeline, Nosnibor looks like being one to watch in 2008.
