Oct 24, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --San Francisco, CA: October 23, 2007: Cube3.com, a leading virtual products design/entertainment and marketing company has released two more completely original vehicle designs created specifically for the new “reality” of the Metaverse and Virtual Worlds like Linden Lab’s Second Life.

The new C3 Skycraft released were the two-seat Sunfish, that’s been designed for fun flying with a single passenger, and the much larger Albatross, that can carry up to 10 passengers plus pilot: The two new Skycraft , while clean and modern looking, similar to real world aircraft are unique design’s that place them clearly into the realm of the imagination made only real via the virtual worlds becoming popular today. White and shiny the new C3 Skycraft suggest a retro future designed world as they sail across the virtual skies.

Designed to reflect the “newness that the jet /space age of the early 1960’s had ”, Cube3 Designer Larry Rosenthal suggest’s that “we should take this opportunity to make the virtual worlds we’ll live in optimistic and suggestive of a new frontier.” Many of the tired cyberpunk visions that made good fiction 20 years ago are horrible places to really spend our time in. To me that’s maybe fun for an RPG, but not for a world we’re spending hours in daily now.” Not that these designs aren’t targeted for fun and games, the Albatross comes complete with a fully loaded bar for those extended flights into the metaverse. (A very Pan American first class trip into the metaverse.)

The Sunfish and the Albatross join the one person CubePODz that launched earlier this month, rounding out a fleet of C3 Skycraft that offer personal transport to large group flying and travel excitement for Second Life denizens. The three vehicles sell within SL for base prices of 600L$, 1200 L$, and 2000L$ based on the model and style.
