CorkStop Studios has some exciting events planned for the renowned South County San Luis Obispo Open Studio weekend. The studio will be featuring new work by resident artists Xenia Madison, Carol Paquet and Anne Stahl. In addition, distinguished guest artist Christo Braun from Pennsylvania, who works primarily in resin, will be showing.
On Saturday October 13th at 12.00pm Trudy Montgomery, a prominent art dealer from San Francisco based ‘Blue Tangerine’, will be ‘demystifying the process of buying original art’ during a slide presentation on “The Art of Collecting”.
On Sunday October 14th John Buerger of “Accent Picture Framers” will be giving brief 10 minute workshops on the hour through–out the day starting at 11.00am—with the final demonstration at 3.00pm. They will have a collection of high end frames to demonstrate how to customize and enhance an original artwork in your home.
