Colorado Scuba Divers throw “Dive Into Colorado 2007”
Aurora, CO: As a landlocked state, an active scuba diving populous is unlikely in Colorado. With active lifestyles and a passion for the outdoors, Colorado’s population is actually ranked 6th in the Nation for number of scuba divers per capita. Due to this large population of scuba enthusiasts, the Colorado Scuba Retailers Association (CSRA) is giving Colorado’s scuba divers a chance to “Dive into Colorado”. On Saturday, August 4, 2007, divers from all across the state will converge on the Aurora Reservoir to compete in underwater competitions, attend seminars with equipment, travel, and ecology specialists, and plan their next scuba adventures.
Members of the Colorado Scuba Retailers Association (CSRA) make it their mission to keep people involved in scuba and develop non-divers into lifelong scuba aficionados. With the help of SCUBA travel and equipment suppliers, the CSRA is throwing the first annual “Dive Into Colorado” diving day. Through this event, the CSRA hopes to fulfill their mission in impassioning non-divers to learn how to scuba dive and to fuel the fire for those already enjoying the sport.
Participants will have the opportunity to demo the latest dive gear on the market, register to win great prizes including a trip aboard the Palau Aggressor, or Peter Hughes Wind Dancer in Granada plus a lot more! There will be food and beverages for purchase on site. The event will run from 7:30am—4:30pm on Saturday, August 4, 2007. Admission to the event is only $8.00 and includes entrance to all seminars, the opportunity to participate in the competitions, $1.00 off food purchase, and registration for the drawings.
