Oct 23, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --Cincinnati, Ohio female hip hop artist Khadijah aka "Queen of the City" makes music history as she gains momentum on her local radio station airwaves. The young female artist has been rapping for all of six month and has managed to have three hit singles on radio at one time. In an industry that is dominated by her counter parts Khadijah has been managed to gain the respect of her music peers as she has been an opening performance act for major recording artist such as: Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, Juvenile, Gorilla Zoe and others.
While collaborating with other local artist and producers Khadijah was able to promote herself through flyers, shows, and by selling Cd's hand to hand which has lead her to super music producer Hi-Tek. Hi-Tek is a local producer that has produced for many major recording artist such as : 50 cent, young buck, Talib Kweli and other notables. It was through her self promotion that lead Khadijah to radio program director Eddie B. of the Wizfm leading her to an opportunity to meet the industry producer. The two hooked up for a song called "Gonna Bang" which is currenlty being played on the radio station, along with her highly requested single "I'm a Boss" and Nails & Hair Done with local singer Rico and rapper Slick Rick aka Mr. Why wouldn't I?.
As Khadijah likes to be called "Queen of the City" as her stage moniker, she embraces the success as feeling of joy, to be able to work with some talented producers, and artist while bringing the Cincinnati hip-hop music scene closer to a respected national level. "There are alot of talented artist in Cincinnati, that have paved the way but don't get the recognition that they deserve on a national level because our city is not a major city for music entertainment."
