Mar 26, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ -- Matrix Gemini LIMS provides exactly the same user experience no matter how the application is accessed; rich client on a LAN, thin client on a WAN or via the Web using a standard browser.
Once a screen has been built using the unique Matrix Gemini OneTime Configuration Tools, it is immediately available on a network or via the Web. Unlike most current commercial LIMS, the web interface is not a “bolt on” to an old application. This new technology allows deployment of the exactly same interface to all users, reducing deployment, training and maintenance costs.
Uniquely, when existing Matrix V4 users upgrade to Matrix Gemini LIMS, supplied under their support agreement, they will have immediate access to all their existing client screens via their web browsers, with no additional work or costs - saving thousands of dollars.
The new licensing scheme allows mix and match network and web connections as needed, changing from day to day as required – again no extra fees to pay.
As Matrix Gemini is a pure Microsoft .NET product and not a mixture of other technologies, it provides the benefits of close integration between the Windows operating system and web technology.
