Aidmatrix Forms Partnership with Dallas Furniture Bank to Further Humanitarian Relief Supply Chain

DALLAS, TX – March 18, 2008 – The Aidmatrix Foundation today announced its partnership with the Dallas Furniture Bank. This partnership will help enable a more efficient distribution of donated goods from the Dallas Furniture Bank to its recipients through the use of Aidmatrix’ Inventory Management solution. The Dallas Furniture Bank supports several nonprofits who handle emergency response efforts while they also directly service people in need.

Aidmatrix’ Inventory Management solution will allow the Dallas Furniture Bank to see at a glance its current inventory levels online along with comprehensive client demographic reporting. It runs on Powerful Microsoft .NET technology, yet is light enough to run on a traditional workstation. The tool will allow them to easily and electronically track when a donation is received and when it is allocated. Plus, since all transactions are captured electronically, it eliminates the inefficiencies of paper-based processes. Other D/FW users of the system include the Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity, which uses the system to manage the materials used in the home manufacturing process.

“The Aidmatrix Foundation is proud to be a new partner with the Dallas Furniture Bank to help better enable their mission,” commented Gov. Scott McCallum, president and CEO of the Aidmatrix Foundation. “The automations that the Inventory Management solution brings will greatly benefit all of those served by this great organization by reducing operational costs and improving overall efficiencies.”

Dallas Furniture Bank was created to specifically address a long-term, missing gap in service for the transitional homeless in the Dallas area. It is the only organization in Dallas whose sole purpose is to provide basic furnishings to families and individuals determined to rebuild their lives in a home of their own. Among those they assist, many are formerly homeless men (including veterans), women and children, families below the poverty line, victims of domestic violence and those who have lost all to fire or natural disaster. They also help the elderly, disabled and those who have had personal tragedy touch their lives. To learn more, visit http://dallasfurniturebank.org/index.htm
