Apr 03, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ -- Fuelmyblog, the global blog community start-up, have just launched the first in many competitions exclusively for bloggers.

‘A view from my window’ is a photograph competition and the first in a long line to feature on fuelmyblog.com. The competition is open to everyone in the global blog community.

The theme ‘A View from my window’ can be interpreted in many ways and bloggers are taking advantage of this “so far we have had pictures taken from many windows including home, office, trucks and airplane windows!” said Kevin Dixie, CEO of fuelmyblog.com “we wanted an open competition and it is fascinating seeing views from all over the world”.

The rules of the competition are simple, you need to have a blog, write a small post about the photo on your blog linking to fuelmyblog.com and send the image through the link on the competition page. The next competition will be to design widgets for the site followed by a video competition.

The competition, sponsored by sportingo.com, closes on the 20th April 2007, the prize will be a high quality digital camera worth hundreds of dollars.

Fuelmyblog.com brings together bloggers from around the world as part of an online community which allows them to publicise their own blogs for free and recommend others on the site by rating them with votes.

It is aiming to rapidly expand into the online market which currently has over 60 million bloggers discussing everything from the US Presidential Campaigns to the latest knitting patterns.

Fuelmyblog.com will also shortly launch a range of weekly podcasts and competitions as well as interviews on blog chat radio and a range of other unique web 2.0 features designed by Eleventeenth.com, the owner of spong.com.
