Dec 31, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --A Collection of poetry written by a looked after child expressing different aspects of life that she has encountered from the age of twelve to eighteen. She covers topics such as grief, self- harm and romance. Each section is described in detail outlining the origins of the poems in the section and how they have influenced her in her further writings. Each poem is very close to her and is written in such depth that it has captured every readers emotions so far. She wishes to open the eyes of the reader to a looked after child's struggle even though every child is different.
The author has suggested that this book is not for the faint hearted and is not for children due to powerful graphics conjured by the poetry. Even though the content is written by a child do not be fooled. This is meant for a mature audience.
The author has also said that ten percent of all royalties will go to The Wallice and Gromit Appeal for Alex Ross who was a student at her school and ten percent will go to Cancer Research UK for nan and her English teacher who have been a brilliant support to her. Please support these charities and the remaining eighty percent will help the author go to university and achieve her potential.
